This blog published by IICA refers to the importance of achieving a balanced development of the global food system in order to address food security concerns. To do this, it must take into account four main dimensions or objectives: a) efficiency and productivity to feed the world, b) environmental sustainability to take care of the planet, c) food safety and health to take care of consumer health and d) the nutritional characteristics of foods to reduce the occurrence of nutrition-related diseases.
