Due to their natural resources, technological innovation and business models which makes farming practices more sustainable, value chains of the Southern Cone of the Americas have huge potential to develop key solutions for climate change, food security and biodiversity. They can be part of the solution in a climate change mitigation strategy, so they need to attract investment and also have access to the markets for these products and services in a transparent manner and in compliance with internationally agreed standards. This should certainly be part of the conversation and results of COP26.
