Press Information Project on Secretary Brun’s Meeting with GPS

The Southern Producing Countries Group (SPG) organized a meeting at CARI (Argentine Council for International Relations). The meeting was attended by the Secretary of International Economic Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Fernando Brun, and the Undersecretary of Agri-Food Markets and International Integration, Agustín Tejeda Rodríguez. Representatives of the private agricultural institutions that are part of the Argentine Forum of the SPG network were also present.

At the meeting, Ambassador Brun highlighted the strategic role of the agroindustry as a key player in Argentina's development, foreign exchange generation, and international integration. The meeting analyzed ongoing international negotiations, highlighting progress in various aspects of those with the European Union, as well as the agenda with other regions and countries. The meeting emphasized the need to strengthen public-private partnerships to promote international integration based on the competitive capabilities and sustainability attributes of the Argentine agricultural sector's production systems.
