This document, prepared by Martín Piñeiro (GPS-CARI) and Valeria Piñeiro (IFPRI) explores the possible geopolitical scenarios and trends in the international system from the new configuration that seems to be emerging as a result of the Ukrainian war. Mainly focusing on how these trends will impact the geopolitics of food, the paper reflects, in particular, on the significance they can have for Mercosur countries in their role of net food exporters.
